On a recent weekend getaway, I came across a model kit display inside of a Walmart. At the time, I thought it was a cool idea and a great way to get the hobby in front of non-hobbyists. It appears that this wasn't a one-off instance, as Round 2 Corporation has announced that model kit "quarter pallets" will soon begin appearing in select Meijer stores.
Round 2 is the parent company of model brands, AMT, Polar Lights, MPC, Lindberg. and others. The quarter pallet displays will showcase 13 kits from AMT, Polar Lights, and MPC.
The next time you're at Meijer, keep an eye out for one of these displays, and be sure to check it out.
